Clear your cache, cookies and saved form data. In Firefox, all you have to do is click Tools>Clear Private Data. In Internet Explorer, Tools>Clear Browsing History.
I don't need to bother doing this however, because I have CCleaner which can automatically delete it all on startup.
Hope this helps. P.S. You should clear every now and then anyway so you don't have tracking cookies.

To clear the Google search box history, follow this step by step process:
Go to the Tools menu
Select Internet Options and click Content
Within the Personal information area, select AutoComplete.
Click Clear Forms. You can also un-check the Forms box in this window to keep this information from being stored in the future.
Click OK to exit
To clear your browser history (list of websites you've checked out):
Go to the Tools menu.
Select Internet Options and the General tab.
Click the Clear History button. To completely disable the history function, set Days to keep pages in history to zero ('0').
Click OK to exit.
